    • An update from Shanghai. 'Stronger' got me through the last month or so at my last job where I managed to successfully complete a 100sqkm island waterfront planning competition, then wind down and get ready for change. I changed jobs in June and still keep Inspire on my mp3 player for the daily commute. The new job is going well and the new work environment is also more inspiring. 'Fill your Sails' is sound advice to anyway thinking about change. Last but not least my wife is currently 3 months pregnant, though the journey has been a difficult one in the past, I hope this time we will make it.

Looking forward to new tunes. You should try to get the UK Trade & Investment to back you up/sponsor a gig at the 2010 World Expo UK Pavilion in Shanghai - they play 'chill-out' music around the pavilion like Zero 7/Morcheeba etc.. The building is a great concept and the space around it is designed for events like a Public Symphony gig. (google ukshanghaiexpo)

I'll be there if you do!

    • Hey Dobs!

I'm still listening! I have Inspire on constantly in the car. My kids especially like 'Rise and Shine' (well the 5&6 yr olds). My fave is still Fill Your Sails but Touch has me reminiscing on various bits of Dark Side of the Moon esp .with the Mrs doing her own Great Gig vocals

Thanks for such great music. Simon

    • Writing from Shanghai, 2009 was a grind, I totally burned out. 6 months ago I started to look for something new in my career. Inspire is a journey that starts much like my situation, “I am spent, I am down, I am lost, if I’m found, heal me” as I closed the door on my current job, new doors started to open, not just in my career but in other ways like in discovering inspire. This album has given me the Wings to fly.

As a landscape architect/masterplanner chasing work up and down China and the Middle East against the economic slowdown, stronger is a blinding anthem that captures “miles and miles I had to go” to get through some difficult years and emerge where I am now. Choosing to pause and breath, to stop and look at my life has made me realise I have shut out so many other interests by being solely focused on my career. I used to write songs in the 1990’s up to around 2004 and used to record my own tracks. I’ve not been able to do it for some time now. Inspire stirs the music that used to burn inside of me and I want to find that again. Changing career during an economic downturn is a scary prospect but since making the decision to change a huge weight has been lifted. Breakthrough is a great track to face the fear and make the change. I truly believe this song would make a great anthem for the UK Charity ‘Breakthrough’ to raise awareness of the fight against breast cancer.

The 4th track on Inspire called Touch is the music of Public Symphony reaching into the lives of people (like me) and capturing the moment of transition and life changes. It is beautifully reminiscent of Pink Floyd’s 'Great Gig in the Sky', but it does not feel trapped and painful, it reaches out with joy and freedom, with beautiful backing vocals that uplift and soar. Rise and Shine is a new day and how I feel about starting a new life/job which really starts in June. I hope to start spending more quality time with my wife and spending more time exploring Shanghai. White Dove is the future of a stronger love and the hope for a family in 2010. The guitar riff is beautifully stripped down, some will compare it with a ‘Coldplay’ style riff but for me the simple hook is about the determination to succeed and rise above all else. I hope with more time and focus on family ‘I Do’ will be a sweet reminder of the celebration of love and happiness. I’ve now 2 months left in my current position to wrap up some major projects and ensure succession of a business. The everyday choices are less stressful now that I’ve broken free. I feel that anything is possible because new possibilities are emerging as I begin a new voyage of discovery. I first heard Public Symphony on Chill FM and ‘Fill Your Sails’ was a song that reached out further than any other artist on this excellent UK radio station. When I first heard the track I thought it might be Seal, as in his debut album, he had a raw energy in his music and a fresh sound. The message here reassures me that there’s an adventure out there to widen my soul and that’s exactly the journey I have started. The final words of Inspire in Epilogue quietly say ‘this is our public symphony’ and reinforces the whole concept of this album. It is designed to be heard as a holistic journey. I truly believe this year will be a great year for Public Symphony, albums like Inspire don’t come along often and it really is a classic!

    • Bought the original album...(Numbered 250 !!) Just downloaded inspire. I love the extra feeling. You've added another dimension and layer. Keep it up lads, i want another album.

    • I heard 'Fill Your Sails' a few times on Chill FM on my Internet Radio and searched the web to find more. I was glad to find Inspire and decided to buy the album to encourage you to make more great music.

Listening to Inspire I just cracked out a Marina Masterplan for a tropical island location on Hainan Island, China.

I am a landscape architect in the process of changing my job and moving on to a bigger, better career. Inspire will help me move on with confidence. I will definately be sharing your web-site to as many like minded people. Keep up the great music!!

    • Hey you two...

After listening to Inspire, I would just like to say a huge thankyou! You have just placed your music back at the top of the most listened music I own (high praise as I have vast amounts). It's like catching up with an old friend...

You have even re-introduced tracks that I often passed on by because they didn't appeal to me as much (Rise & Shine & Breakthrough). Now I really like those too and it has now become a fully perfected album. Absolutely fantastic job people and I really really hope you guys get the support to make a new album as it would be a pure waste not to, I can't even imagine how much better you could get.

      Thanks again!

    • Web site looks cool! Good luck with Inspire! Can't wait for CD

    • Glad you tweeted, it prompted me to have a look at your new website. I really enjoyed your album (got it after seeing you support Marillion), it gets regular plays on my iPod. I shall definitely be getting "Inspire" as well.

I hope this "relaunch" means that the creative juices are flowing again!

    • Thanks Paul. We need to multiply our mailing list to make it work. Marillion do a great job DIY, but first had several albums promoted by a major label. We are hoping that our new offer encourages viral forwarding by our listeners...

    • Thank you Nancy! Please invite your friends here, and ask Mowglie to send his friends to our website so you can download from us direct...
